Single-chamber weights are most often used for fixation of electrodes  (or for a similar purpose) on areas such as quadriceps, hamstrings... where fixation is required on a smaller, flat area from which the bag weight will not fall, but will cover and fix a specific part with quality.
The inside of the weights is a solid bag filled with fine sand.
The outer weight bag has a closure that allows the inner bag with sand to be replaced if necessary.
